CCB supports a number of events that bring together a diverse group of people, including faculty, students, fellows, industry, and the general public, around a wide spectrum of topics related to computational biology. All events are open to the public, save the annual retreat (by invitation only), and all are critical to CCB’s mission, as they foster an interdisciplinary, interdepartmental community.
CCB Colloquia
The CCB Colloquia consists of seminars within existing seminar series from across the campus selected by Designated Emphasis graduate students. The seminars feature speakers whose research appeals broadly to all members of the University-wide computational biology community. Read more »
Annual Retreat
Each fall the CCB convenes Center faculty, DE students, and select others for a weekend of trainee research presentations, a poster session, meetings, and informal social activities. The Eight Annual Retreat will be held November 20-21, 2010 at the Marconi Conference Center. Read more »
CompBio Student Seminar Series
The CompBio Student Seminar Series features short seminars by graduate students from departments across the University about current research. Seminars are held every other Tuesday evening in the Designated Emphasis interaction space, the Campbell Annex. Read more »
Industry Speaker Series
The Industry Speaker Series features prominent professionals from computational biology-related companies. Speakers represent a number of industries, including biotech, pharma, high-tech, and health-tech, and present company projects, background, and industry trends. Read more »
