The GSL provides four types of services. Please select from the following for more detailed information regarding our service.
The GSL can accommodate sequencing of pre-prepared Illumina libraries or can facilitate the preparation of various types of Illumina libraries through the FGL. We currently multiplex with up to 960 unique indices (96 PCR-free, Methylated and Non-Methylated). Index sets are available for purchase. For questions about library prep, sequencing, or information regarding amplicon-based sequencing library design and high-level multiplexing please contact the GSL Director, email@example.com.
HiSeq4000 Platform: High Output Mode
350M-415M Reads per lane (Throughput (Gb) varies by run type)
8 lanes per flow cell
Higher capacity allows for cost effective multiplexing
HiSeq2500 Platform: Rapid Run Mode
120M-140M reads per lane
2 lanes per flow cell
Platform ideal for libraries not compatible with HiSeq4000 or projects that started on the HiSeq2000 that need to maintain platform continuity (RNAseq)
2. Pacific Biosciences RSII and Sequel Library Generation and Sequencing
While UCB considers the acquisition of the newer PacBio Sequel, the FGL/GSL offers library prep services for the RSII and the Sequel. Generated libraries are sequenced with the UC Davis Genome Center, UC Irvine, and/or UC San Diego until an instrument is housed at the GSL. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
