Helium Ion Microscope (HIM) research conducted at QB3-Berkeley’s Biomolecular Nanotechnology Center (BNC) was recently showcased at the Grand Opening of the new ZEISS Customer Center in Pleasanton, CA. Frances Allen, who manages the HIM lab at the BNC and is a Research Scientist at UC Berkeley, was invited to speak at the event. Diverse projects from the HIM lab were presented in which the ion microscope is used to image and fabricate at the nanoscale with diverse applications in materials and life science. Attendees were “immensely impressed” by the breadth and depth of the research coming from the HIM lab. In order to use the HIM for your research, please contact Frances Allen for further details!
