Research and Career Development

QB3-Berkeley offers a suite of services and activities to support and encourage researchers at various stages of their scientific careers. Workshops aimed at graduate students and postdoctoral researchers cover a broad range of issues, including funding opportunities, changes at the NIH, scientific writing, and fellowships. For faculty members who are early in their careers, small group meetings and individual sessions can help provide support in identifying appropriate funding mechanisms and competing successfully for grants.

In addition, staff members provide assistance in the development of large-scale, multi-investigator grant proposals (e.g., centers, program projects, and cooperative agreements) and can coordinate the process from beginning to end, providing strategic, organizational, and editorial support.
