Central California 900 MHz NMR Facility

Bruker Biospin 900 MHz NMR spectrometer

Under Professor David Wemmer, Director, the 900 MHz NMR facility at UC Berkeley is administered by the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3). It is a core facility that helps to promote the understanding of the structures and dynamics of natural products, potential theraputics, proteins,  and nucleic acids at the atomic level.  Instruments include a state-of-the-art 900 MHz spectrometer equipped with a cryoprobe, and an 800 MHz spectrometer equipped with a room temperature probe.  Access is available to investigators from QB3 as well as those at both academic and non-academic institutions on a recharge basis.  Note however, that the University of California is a nonprofit organization and as such does not compete with private industry. Before contacting us, researchers involved in privately supported endeavors are encouraged to seek services from a commercial laboratory.
