QB3-Berkeley Postdoc Community
At QB3-Berkeley, efforts are under way to stimulate and support a vital community of postdoctoral researchers who work in QB3-affiliated labs. Launched in 2008, the program is led by postdocs themselves, with support from QB3-Berkeley Director Susan Marqusee and QB3-Berkeley staff. This is an ongoing activity designed to help the postdocs produce events and activities that suit their needs.
In fall 2008, the group launched a series of monthly postdoc seminars where postdoc speakers present their talks to a postdocs-only audience and also initiated twice-monthly informal lunch meetings to help postdocs and faculty mix. Future plans may include a yearly retreat, career networking, and perhaps evening panels.

QB3-Berkeley Postdoc Seminars
These seminars are presented by postdocs, for postdocs. All are held on select Fridays in 106 Stanley Hall, from 4:30-5:30, and are followed by the QB3-Berkeley Social hour, sponsored by Merck Research Laboratories and hosted by QB3 labs. Each seminar features two 20-minute talks with time for questions and discussion.
