Policy for Science – Careers at the NIH and Beyond with Jamie L Lahvic, PhD

This event is for anyone curious about careers at places like NIH and NSF, or wanting to learn the basics about how these agencies work.

BIO: Jamie completed her Ph.D. in developmental and regenerative biology at Harvard Medical School in 2017. She continued to a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley in the Hariharan Lab, where she also served on the MCB Equity Committee and helped organize postdoc events. Jamie joined the training office at the National Institute on Aging (NIH) in 2021 as a AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow. She recently converted to a permanent Program Officer, and in that role she continues to work on outreach, new initiative development, and program evaluation for NIA’s emerging researchers.

This event is hybrid, being held in Stanley 177 and Zoom.
