Solid fundamentals have enabled application of quantum dots in photochemistry … Will the same be true for quantum information?: Nano Webinar Series

March 19, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Prof. Emily A. Weiss, Northwestern, Chemistry & MSE
The zoom location for this meeting is https://berkeley.zoom.us/j/99114998107?pwd=M3QwWld3QThIdFRzQXBuUnZ2aUFPdz09
We will discuss the features of colloidal nanocrystals (quantum dots and nanoplatelets) that have enabled record-breaking performance in aqueous CO2 photoreduction and new modes of selectivity in C-C coupling reactions, and look toward the application of quantum dots as intermediaries for quantum transduction between stationary spin qubits and traveling photonic qubits.
