In this section, we will cover the core techniques in molecular cloning.

Molecular cloning is the foundation of molecular biology, enabling scientists to easily manipulate DNA to answer fundamental questions in biology. Here, we will clone the gene for GFP into the pET28b expression vector, transform the new plasmid into E. coli, isolate and purify the plasmid DNA, and analyze our new construct by DNA sequencing.
